More About Sibling Harmony

The name “Sibling Harmony” does not merely refer to the fact that we are a trio of two brothers and a sister. In fact, we have two other brothers, Kris and Keith. “Sibling Harmony” reaches beyond biological family and encompasses the entire Church, as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. “So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5

Sibling Harmony is a music group recently formed who’s target audience is family members of all ages. The band is three full-time LCMS church workers trained in and/or serving in Youth and Family Ministry. Book us for a concert or family ministry event.

Kim Bueltmann is a Deaconess at St. John Lutheran Church in Champaign where she serves in the areas of Youth, Music, and Family Ministry. Her MySpace says: "I am a Deaconess, musician, daughter, sister, and friend. I love the kids at SJL, my parents, brothers, 17 nieces and nephews, and friends! I love music--playing piano, saxophone, guitar, bass, percussion, organ, mandolin, and now trumpet! Also enjoy listening to music, composing, and jamming with my band Sibling Harmony. I enjoy the outdoors: walking/hiking, gardening, rollerblading, canoeing, and playing soccer. I have been of fan of Michael W. Smith pretty much since I was born, my favorite band is Caedmon's Call. I also love Lost and Found, Tangled Blue, Andrew Peterson, Bebo Norman, Mark Schultz, Superchic(k), and others."

Kurtis Bueltmann lives in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, with his wife Cyndi and four children, Jacob, Abi, Augie, and Jordan. Kurtis has served as the Executive Director at Camp LuWiSoMo since 1996. He graduated from Concordia University – River Forest, IL, with a BA in Secondary Education while also completing the coursework for the Director of Christian Education program. He also attended Concordia Seminary – St. Louis, MO, for two years and is currently attending Concordia Theological Seminary – Fort Wayne, IN, working toward an MDiv while serving as Vicar at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma, Wisconsin. Kurtis loves sports, computers, reading (esp. sci fi & fantasy), martial arts (currently a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do), and, of course, music.

Kevin Bueltmann is Assistant Camp Director at Camp CILCA Outdoor Ministries near Springfield, Illinois with responsibilities for Summer Camp, family ministry retreats, challenge course and public relations. Kevin graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where he also got his Master’s Degree in Family Life Ministry. Kevin has served as a DCE in Kalispell, Montana and Normal, Illinois and as Director of Camp Luther of Nebraska. He writes VBS songs for CPH and leads his church's Celebration Praise Service. Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and enjoys sports like racquetball and volleyball. Trivia: The 3 theme colors we use for our band represent the harmonization of the 3 primary colors (red & blue=purple; blue & yellow=green; yellow and red= orange). They also happen to represent each band member's favorite color (although not the exact shades of those colors).
