The Rock of Salvation

Psalm 95:1; Matthew 16:15-18

Jesus asked the twelve, "Who do you say I am?"

"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God," Peter said.

This solid rock confession on which Christ builds His Church

Is the only rock on which our faith can stand.

'Cause He is the Rock, the Rock of Salvation.

He is the Rock, the Chief Cornerstone.

He is the Rock; He is our Salvation.

We can stand on Him alone.

Don't be like the foolish man, who built his house on sand.

When the rains came down and the floods came up,

It had no chance to stand.

But be just like the wise man who built his house on rock,

For on the solid rock of Christ you will stand firm.

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, He paid the price for me.

He suffered and He died and He rose in victory.

This plan for our salvation He made so we could know

That we will live with Him forevermore.
